ABOUT

Displaying high-level musicianship and profound lyricism, the young duo “Ian and Dylan”, is composed of Ian Graham (Vocals, Multi-Instrumentalist) and Dylan Vance (Percussion, Multi-Instrumentalist). Ian and Dylan draw influence from bands such as

“alt-J” and “Bright Eyes” to bring forth a genre-blending sound of alternative, indie, jazz and folk music.

Ian and Dylan began playing music and performing together for friends and family while still in elementary school, allowing them to develop a rare chemistry and a musical maturity far beyond their years.

The duo began their musical journey by performing at local open mics and caught the eye of coffeeshop owner Lori Morgan. Morgan saw a future in music for the young boys and offered Ian and Dylan their very first show. Months of practice and their first show was a huge success. Ian and Dylan continued to attend open mics and gained a reputation amongst the SoZo crowd.

An especially important turning point for Ian and Dylan was when they introduced female vocalist Lauren Case and male trumpeter Jesse Flores to the stage. This unique addition to Ian and Dylan’s performance brought a richer sound to the stage. Show attendance rose as word got out on the street of the band’s captivating performance. An average setlist featured many cover songs mixed with Ian and Dylan’s own original songs, which created a nostalgic atmosphere of culture and creativity.

Looking to take the next step in their career, Ian and Dylan were so fortunate to meet Casey Van Shaar; forming not just a friendship but close business relations. Van Shaar offered the duo a record deal with his very own startup Midflight Records opening up all-new doorways for Ian and Dylan to advance through.

Ian and Dylan found themselves at a stockpile of original songs that they had written but not yet made available to the public ear. It was at this point, with much anticipation, the duo decided to release their first extended play, Panacea.

To this day, Ian and Dylan continue to perform at SoZo Coffeehouse and look to extend their reach across Arizona's acoustic venues as well as across the States.

Ian and Dylan hold tremendous promise and plan to prove so with a full length album, Into the Laps of Pool Traps, to be released spring of 2018.
